About Me

Hi!  Maybe you were looking for info about me and my family.  Maybe  you were searching for a ‘Gay Daddy’ and quickly discovered this blog was sooooo not what you were looking for.  Or maybe you were just bored and mindlessly clicking around and ended up here.

So here are the basics about me. I’m gay.  I’m married to the love of my life.  In 2007, my husband and I adopted twins.  I left my corporate job to stay at home with our kids.  Primarily, I’m writing this blog for myself, and hopefully I’ll keep it updated.  That said, I’m glad you’ve taken the time to show up here.  Drop me a line if you’d like.  I’d love to hear from you!

  1. Hello,

I am new to “blogging” and as of yet a mere reader. I cam across your blog through commetns you had posted on Jos76’s Blog.

It really excites me to have come upon your and your story. To be honest..excitement nearly past words!

I love that I have read both books you recommend( I don’t get a chance to read much, but coming upon those last summer on a trip to Vancouver, BC had them read by my flight home!) Can I just say, LOVE Dan Savage and his ability to keep things real, maintain his dignity and distinct gay identity while creating a successful family unit.

I guess the biggest reason for my interest is my own longing to create a family and home with a wonderfull man and children one day. You and your husband are something to aspire to. Thanks for being a ray of light, both that good men exist and having a family is a real possiblity.

Enough rambling for me right now, I appreciate your Blog and look forward to every entry!

Don’t set any big expectations for me to live up to or anything! Geez! 🙂 Thanks for your comments. I read Dan Savage’s book while we were going through the adoption process. It helped put some perspective on some things, and I laughed my way from cover to cover. Being a Dad is the craziest, most exhausting, sometimes exasperating, hilarious, non-stop, and unbelievably rewarding job in the world! Be sure to let me know when you start that family of yours.

    All the best! B~

  2. Hi,
I’m doing Smith College Social Work Masters thesis research on how fathers (either single or partnered and gay) incorporate nurturing into a masculine identity. I’m looking for gay fathers to interview for my study. Would you and/or your partner be interested? It would mean a 60-90 minute face-to-face interview. I’d ask questions about your experience as a father. Unfortunately, I can’t offer any financial compensation. Please let me know if you’re interested or have any questions.
    Thanks!
    Janet

  4. Hi there,
Really like your site – keeps me entertained during my fits of work-avoidance. keep up the good work.

  5. Aw, I just found you I’m sorry you’re not blogging anymore!

  6. Awesome blog! We too are a gay family but our kids are older. I wish I blogged when they were younger, although I must admit I have enough to blog about now! Your kids are gorgeous! Have a ton of fun and I look forward to checking out your story. Today my oldest son is taking my daughter BUNGEE JUMPING for her birthday, I am not sure about it 🙂
